FlixBus spreads Christmas cheer with extra coach services for the nation this festive season
National coach brand FlixBus is making sure everyone can get home for Christmas, with thousands of services running every day over the festive period, with tickets starting at just £4.49.
To make festive travel even easier, FlixBus is introducing additional services between London, Birmingham, and Manchester from 21 December to 4 January.
More than 200 FlixBus coach services will operate on Christmas Day, with the majority of the network running on Boxing Day and New Year’s Day, while trainlines close.
The announcement comes as rail passengers face widespread disruption, with major engineering works closing key train routes between London, the Midlands, North West England and Scotland from 27 December to 1 January.
“Avoid the festive travel fuss by hopping on a FlixBus! We know how much people value spending time with loved ones at Christmas, and we’re proud to make that possible with affordable, sustainable and comfortable travel 365 days of the year,” said Sarah Bartlett, PR Lead for FlixBus UK.
FlixBus also plans to spread festive cheer at key transport hubs, with ‘Flix-mas’ surprises for passengers at London Victoria Coach Station on 19 December; Leeds Bus Station on 22 December; Glasgow (Buchanan Street), and Manchester (Shudehill) on 23 December.
In Scotland, FlixBus will accept National Entitlement Cards (NEC) and Young Scot cards even on public holidays, unlike other operators, allowing under 21s, over 60s and those with disability to travel for free.
FlixBus now has over 200 vehicles on the road and connects 80 destinations nationwide. Tickets start from just £4.49 and are available at www.flixbus.co.uk or via the FlixBus App.
