FlixBus launches new airport services with Prospect Coaches partnership expansion

26/01/2026

Leading travel tech company FlixBus is expanding airport services between Manchester and London Heathrow and Gatwick Airports from Thursday 5 February.

Three new services per day each way between Manchester (Shudehill), Manchester Airport, Stoke-on-Trent, Coventry, London Heathrow Central Bus Station, London Heathrow Terminal 5, and Gatwick Terminals.

Even more services will be added to the route in the coming months, increasing to six times a day each way by April.

Oxford will be added to the FlixBus network for the first time, connecting to Birmingham, Heathrow and Gatwick airport daily.

Passengers will now be able to take advantage of new direct transport links, avoiding complicated and inconvenient train changes in central London.

FlixBus Vice President, West Europe, Andreas Schorling commented: “Airport services are a clear customer favourite, and enhancing airport services is a core element of our growth plans this year – offering more of the great value, sustainability and reliability that passengers expect from FlixBus!”

The route launches as part of a partnership expansion with Prospect Coaches, being unveiled for 2026.

Prospect will operate the new routes using 13 new FlixBus-branded Irizar I6Ss, taking their total of vehicles to 27.

“We’re beyond excited to expand with FlixBus in this fantastic segment of the market which has so much potential. We see first-hand how much passengers love to travel on the network, as FlixBus continues to grow the express coach market,” commented Nathan Hadley, Managing Director of Prospect Coaches.
