FlixBus Expands Network with Watts Coaches as New Partner
Travel tech giant FlixBus has announced Cardiff-based Watts Coaches as its newest long-term operator partner.
Watts initially collaborated with FlixBus in December 2024 to support the brand’s high passenger demand during the festive period.
Following the success of this partnership, FlixBus is welcoming Watts as a full-time operator on its network.
FlixBus UK Managing Director Andreas Schorling commented: “We acted quickly and efficiently to integrate Watts into our network for the busy Christmas period. We were impressed with how rapidly the team at Watts got up to speed, moving from onboarding to on the road in just a few weeks.”
As a well-established express service operator, Watts Coaches brings a wealth of experience to FlixBus.
“Partnering with FlixBus has been a game-changer for us. The technology they offer is an advanced innovation I hadn’t realised was possible; it makes operations incredibly smooth and efficient,” said Jo-Anne Watts, Director of Watts Coaches.
“Joining the network marks the start of a fresh chapter for us, and the FlixBus team is full of energy and optimism. The future is Flix, and we’re excited to grow together.”
In addition to scheduled coach services with FlixBus, Watts Coaches continues to offer private hire, schools and tour services.
Watts Coaches has added five newly- Flix branded Temsa vehicles to the network, providing multiple daily services between Cardiff and London.
The operator has a strong reputation in the industry for engineering, supporting repairs, PSVAR conversions and up-seating for other bus companies.
The operator has also launched a brand-new direct FlixBus service connecting Cardiff and Bristol with Birmingham, Sheffield, Leeds, and Newcastle.
“We have achieved hyper-growth since launching three years ago and will double our network again by this summer, matching incumbent operators for frequencies between key cities.
“It is only a matter of time before FlixBus becomes the UK market leader for long-distance coach travel, and we have every reason to be extremely optimistic about the future of the industry,” concluded Schorling.
